My Butterfly Family is a charity that was born in memory of Jason Wakerell who tragically passed away aged only 33 years.
Our goal is to provide support for children and parents who have lost a parent or child due to unfortunately not receiving their gift - an organ transplant.
We aim to assist with the process of bereavement by supplying a gift to nominated families as a memorial piece of their loved one, which they can look at every day, as well as a special day revolving around the person/s nominated. This aims to provide a feeling of positive emotions rather than the negative which rise with bereavement. We aim to ensure that all realise you will never forget your loved one, you will only learnt to live without.
My Family Butterfly will also try to 'buddy' up local families aiming to be able to provide much needed support from people and families who have or are experiencing a similar situation. No better advice comes from those who know how you feel.
